[Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] On the early morning of the 21st, Lim Joon-taek, Chairman of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (Suhyup), once again emphasized the innovation of seafood distribution at the auction site of the seafood wholesale market located in Garak-dong, Seoul.
On this day, Chairman Lim inspected the auction site with executives and exchanged opinions on plans for seafood distribution innovation with market workers. At this meeting, Chairman Lim said, "If necessary for improving the distribution environment, I will visit frequently and listen to any difficulties," and urged, "Please feel free to speak up if you have any suggestions."
Earlier, on December 3rd last year, Chairman Lim became the first Suhyup chairman to make an unannounced visit to the Noryangjin Market auction site, ordering a strong reform by stating, "We must break away from the complacent market operation practices and truly transform into a wholesale market for fishermen."
Suhyup plans to actively promote economic projects and distribution innovation based on the results of on-site communication between Chairman Lim and the executives.
