[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The National Pension Service has removed Namyang Dairy Products from the 'Public Focus Management Companies' list.
On the 20th, the National Pension Fund Trustee Responsibility Committee held a shareholder rights exercise subcommittee meeting and decided to remove Namyang Dairy Products, which was a public focus management company related to dividend policy, from the public focus management companies list.
However, the committee explained that since there were opinions that the improvement in dividend policy was somewhat insufficient, continuous monitoring will be conducted.
Previously, the National Pension Service selected Namyang Dairy Products as a non-public dialogue target company (2016), a non-public focus management company (2017), and a public focus management company (2018), and promoted dialogue with the company. In February last year, it also pursued a shareholder proposal for amendments to the articles of incorporation that did not fall under Article 154, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Capital Market Act (aimed at influencing management rights).
