[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) held a closing meeting on the 20th in the district office's main conference room for the '1st Community Contribution Scholarship Students' who had been active for nine months since April last year.

University students visited 17 local children's centers and welfare centers, acting as mentors by providing not only academic guidance but also career and counseling support.

The meeting proceeded in the order of ▲awarding outstanding participants ▲sharing activity impressions ▲suggestions ▲commemorative photo session.

Na Su-bin, a sophomore at Myongji College who worked at a local children's center, said, "Before academic guidance, I shared daily life and even small concerns with my mentees to build emotional rapport," adding, "The relationship based on trust greatly helped improve their grades."

Seo Ye-jin, a junior at Inha University, shared, "Through a deep bond, we set the learning direction desired by the mentee, and as a result, they began to develop an interest in art," and added, "Seeing a child who worked hard and won the grand prize at a national competition made me reflect on myself and learn."

Mayor Noh Hyun-song, who attentively listened to the children's impressions, stated, "Providing educational opportunities to children from underprivileged backgrounds and having university students donate their talents to the community through educational talent donation is very meaningful," and added, "We will continue to support so that the community and scholarship students can grow together."
