Excellent moisturizing power keeps lips hydrated
Shiny gloss appears when applied
Maintains original color even after meals
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Yujin] Having lived with extremely dry skin for over 30 years, the place I worry about more than my sagging facial skin during winter?when fine dust, cold winds, and indoor heating take a toll?is my lips. Every winter, my lips crack like a dried-up rice paddy ridge and peel with dead skin, causing people to often ask if I am unwell.
Since I leave early for work, I usually finish my morning makeup with just sunscreen, but I always make sure to apply lip balm. Even when I diligently apply moisturizer morning and night, my lips never feel smooth and moist. A few days ago, when I shared this concern with a makeup artist I met for an interview, they recommended a new product: Easydew’s "Makeup Tint Lip Balm." It is a new release from Easydew, a derma cosmetic brand launched by Daewoong Pharmaceutical.
Since it is a product from a pharmaceutical company, I first checked the ingredients. The standout ingredient is 'EGF.' EGF, a protein in our body, sharply decreases after age 29, which is said to trigger wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity. Simply supplementing with EGF is said to prevent skin aging, earning it the nickname "the protein of youth." Lips are the fastest-aging part of facial skin. They have no glands and the skin tissue surrounding them is only one-third as thick as other facial skin, making them especially sensitive to external stimuli. The product contains various soothing and moisturizing ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil, ensuring reliable moisturizing effects.
The first impression when encountering the product was "just a lipstick." The semi-transparent solid stick form was somewhat unique. Most existing products that emphasize moisture are liquid types. While they offer good hydration and color payoff, their excessive stickiness feels uncomfortable and heavy on the lips, as if coated with oil. This product feels light, as if you barely applied anything. Opening the cap and rubbing it several times like applying lipstick resulted in a transparent application. At first, it gave a glossy shine, and after about 10 seconds, the color deepened. The shades come in pink, coral, and a clear glossy option.
As the product name suggests, the tint has good lasting power. Even after eating, the original color remained. However, since saliva applied to the lips during meals can cause moisture loss into the air, it is recommended to gently wipe the lips and reapply after eating. One minor downside is the case. The matte case in a subtle flesh tone tends to get dirty easily, so carrying it around for a long time causes the initially bright case to lose its fresh look.
