Uidong Meeting Plaza, Permanently Open at Modern History Memorial Hall, Blood Pressure and Other Tests with One-on-One Consultations... Health Status Checks at the Start and End Points of the 'RangRangRang' Trail to Confirm Exercise Effects
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) is operating the ‘You and Me and Us Health Experience Zone’ year-round at the Meeting Plaza in Ui-dong and the Modern History Memorial Hall to promote residents' health.
The Health Experience Zone is open every day of the year without holidays. It is available to all visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. free of charge.
Visitors can check for any abnormalities in their bodies through blood pressure, blood sugar, and body composition tests, and receive one-on-one consultations tailored to their condition and environment, including diet and exercise prescriptions from experts.
There is also a way to use the Health Experience Zone more effectively in connection with the ‘You and Me and Us’ Stamp Healing Tour walking trail. Visitors can measure their blood pressure and blood sugar at the Health Experience Zone at the Modern History Memorial Hall, the starting point of the course, complete the trekking, and then check the same items again at the Health Experience Zone at the Meeting Plaza in Ui-dong to observe changes in their bodies.
The walking trail is designed to take visitors through Gangbuk-gu’s representative attractions, starting from the Modern History Memorial Hall, passing the April 19 Observatory and the Pine Tree Rest Area, and ending at the Meeting Plaza in Ui-dong. Visitors who collect all the stamps prepared for each section on the sheet distributed at the starting point of the trail will receive a 10% discount at nearby restaurants.
Additionally, at the Health Experience Zone in the Modern History Memorial Hall, visitors can identify body imbalances using a foot pressure analyzer and learn correct posture. At the Health Experience Zone in the Meeting Plaza in Ui-dong, visitors can bring a small amount of their usual soup to measure its salt content and find out how salty their diet is.
Mayor Park Kyum-soo of Gangbuk-gu said, “We hope many people will visit to experience the Stamp Healing Tour, which offers historical and cultural tourism experiences, and also take care of their health. We will continue to strive to provide various programs that citizens can enjoy in connection with the Bukhansan Historical and Cultural Tourism Belt Development Project.”
