On the 19th (Korean time), McGregor faced Donald Cerrone (37, USA) in the UFC 246 welterweight main event held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
In the match, McGregor defeated Cerrone by TKO in just 40 seconds of the first round.
As soon as the match started, McGregor landed surprise punches and knee kicks on Cerrone, then engaged in close combat. Seeing Cerrone shaken and confused by McGregor's continuous attacks, McGregor relentlessly poured on pounding strikes.
Afterward, referee Herb Dean separated McGregor, and the match ended after just 40 seconds.
With this result, McGregor's overall record stands at 22 wins and 4 losses. Among the 22 wins, 20 were by KO or submission. Additionally, McGregor became the first in UFC history to achieve KO victories in three different weight classes: featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight.
