[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Comedian Lee Youngja visited a restaurant run by Chef Kim Jiyoung to celebrate manager Song Seongho's promotion.
On the 18th episode of MBC's entertainment program 'Omniscient Interfering View,' Lee Youngja and manager Song were shown visiting a high-end restaurant. In the broadcast, Lee Youngja prepared a meal to congratulate manager Song, who was recently promoted to director.
Manager Song explained, "(Lee Youngja) only goes to this restaurant on special occasions," adding, "Since I was promoted to director, the owner specially arranged this together with me."
Lee Youngja described the restaurant as "a successful restaurant if you visit it four times a year," and said, "Seasonal dishes are served every season, and Chef Kim Jiyoung here was the hand double for Lee Young Ae in the drama 'Dae Jang Geum'."
She added, "She is someone who has even taken royal cuisine overseas."
Lee Youngja ordered the most expensive dish at the restaurant, and shortly after, appetizers, tarakjuk (fermented soybean porridge), neobiani (marinated beef slices), and steamed pork belly wrapped in lotus leaves were served at the table.
After tasting the food, Lee Youngja expressed satisfaction, saying, "It’s light and delicious. Adding honey makes it even better," and remarked, "Isn’t this what the king ate?"
She continued, "It feels like my self-esteem is rising," explaining, "It feels like I am treating myself with honor."
