◆Up to 50% Discount at Major Retail Channels= A representative event is the discount on Lunar New Year gift sets. Samsung Card offers up to KRW 500,000 in Shinsegae gift certificates or on-site discounts depending on the payment amount when purchasing Lunar New Year gift sets at Emart (including online mall), Emart Traders, PK Market, and SSG Food Market until the 25th. At Emart Everyday, customers who purchase Lunar New Year gift sets with Samsung Card by the 26th will receive Shinsegae gift certificates worth up to KRW 2,000,000 based on the payment amount. Additionally, purchasing event gift sets with Samsung Card provides up to a 50% on-site discount.

Besides Samsung Card, most credit card companies including Shinhan, KB Kookmin, Hyundai, and Lotte Card are running discount events for customers purchasing Lunar New Year gift sets and ritual supplies at large marts such as Lotte Mart, Emart, Homeplus, as well as department stores and convenience stores.

◆Discounts for Travel and Cultural Activities= Events are also prepared for customers planning to travel or enjoy cultural activities during the Lunar New Year holiday. Lotte Card offers a 50% discount on the comprehensive admission ticket for the cardholder and a 35% discount for up to three accompanying guests when purchasing Lotte World Adventure tickets with Lotte Card until the 31st (provided the cardholder spent at least KRW 200,000 last month). For Lotte World Aquarium tickets, the cardholder receives a 40% discount and up to three accompanying guests get a 30% discount. Seoul Sky tickets are available at a 30% discount for the cardholder and 10% for up to three accompanying guests.

KB Kookmin Card customers who meet the previous month's spending requirements on cards offering amusement park discounts can purchase tickets for amusement parks such as Everland and Lotte World at up to 45% off until the end of this month. Additionally, through KB Kookmin Card's ticket reservation service 'Life Shop Culture,' which charges no booking fees, customers can get up to 30% off tickets for musicals like The Great Gatsby, Big Fish, and Aida.

Hyundai Card offers up to a 15% discount on overseas airline tickets when purchasing promotional routes through Hana Tour, Interpark Tour, Modetour, Online Tour, and Yellow Balloon with Hyundai Card until the 31st. Every Thursday in January, customers can pay half of their purchase amount with M Points at Lotte Internet Duty-Free Shop (10% M Points usage on other days), and on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, up to 8% instant discount coupons are also provided.

◆Events Offering KRW 50,000 New Year's Money and KRW 1,000,000 Fuel Cost Giveaway= KB Kookmin Card is running the 'Happy New Year 2020 New Year's Money Giveaway' event, offering up to KRW 50,000 cashback through a lottery. Until the 31st, 3,000 customers who spend between KRW 1,000,000 and KRW 2,000,000 will receive KRW 10,000 cashback, 1,500 customers who spend between KRW 2,000,000 and KRW 3,000,000 will receive KRW 30,000, and 500 customers who spend over KRW 3,000,000 will receive KRW 50,000 cashback through a lottery.
