[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kazakhstan is suffering from severe weather as a blizzard hit the capital Nursultan Airport, causing most flight routes to be canceled.
Local media reported on the 17th (local time) that a blizzard combined with strong winds of 15 m/s caused cancellations of most domestic routes including Nursultan-Almaty and Shymkent, as well as some international routes connecting Nursultan with Dubai and Istanbul.
Accordingly, airlines are providing various conveniences such as offering separate 'rooms' to parents with children under 7 years old according to regulations and free international calls (within 5 minutes) to passengers.
