[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] BNK Financial Group announced on the 17th that it held the ‘BNK Group Global Division Overseas Branch Managers Business Report Meeting.’
The meeting, held the previous day at the Busan Lotte Hotel, was attended by Kim Ji-wan, Chairman of BNK Financial Group, Bin Dae-in, President of Busan Bank, Hwang Yoon-chul, President of Gyeongnam Bank, along with executives and about 30 overseas branch managers from Busan Bank and BNK Capital in China, Vietnam, India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Kazakhstan. At the meeting, they reviewed last year’s business performance and discussed execution plans to achieve this year’s management goals.
Additionally, to enhance global competitiveness, they announced ‘Localization based on Retail Finance and Digital Finance’ as a mid- to long-term strategy, selecting three key focus tasks for successful achievement: pioneering emerging markets, expanding networks, and improving management indicators.
In the subsequent special lecture by an external instructor, Lee Yang-gu, a former ambassador to Ukraine and an expert in diplomacy and trade, gave a lecture titled ‘New Northern Diplomacy and Financial Expansion Strategy.’
