[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Actress Go Eun-ah exposed the territorial behavior among actresses and further revealed the unfair treatment she received from her former agency.

On the 15th, a video titled "Warning: This was really too much" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Mirbang'.

In the video, Go Eun-ah exposed the mistreatment she endured from her agency after being involved in a past scandal.

She said, "There was a rumor within the previous company that I was dating a senior male colleague. At that time, I went to watch a movie with my stylist sister, but there were managers at every entrance of the cinema. Eventually, I was caught there, and my stylist sister was so scared that she ran away."

She continued, "The managers searched my bag, found the movie tickets, and called the cinema to find out who I was watching the movie with. I hadn’t done anything wrong, but they raised a baseball bat next to me and hit my head. The pain was so intense it felt like my skull was about to split. In that moment, I felt a flash and was half unconscious with my eyes open," she claimed.

She added, "I didn’t cry and gritted my teeth. Then they made me lie face down. They didn’t even ask my side of the story. They hit my buttocks and under my thighs with the baseball bat. Even though I was often hit when I was in school, this hurt so much," she said.

Additionally, Go Eun-ah claimed that the agency threatened her parents with a penalty fee. She said, "My mother knelt down in the office. The company called my father in the countryside and told him to demand billions of won in penalty fees. Since I didn’t cry and stood firm, the CEO said, 'Take a break for life,' and then left," she said.

She also revealed that the agency controlled her private life. She said, "They didn’t let me turn off my phone and kept it on the desk to always monitor who was contacting me. Also, they told the security guard of the officetel where I lived to keep watch and come once a week to check the CCTV. Even after filming, when I got home, I had to keep reporting things like 'I’m eating' or 'I’m going to sleep,'" she lamented.

This is not the first time Go Eun-ah has made such revelations. On the 8th, she also spoke about the territorial culture among actresses. Go Eun-ah said, "In the past, I was cast in a significant role in a certain production. At first, the staff treated me very well. But one day, the staff started avoiding eating with me, and even the actresses and the youngest staff would look me up and down and avoid me whenever they met me," she claimed.

She continued, "I was very timid at the time, but as the similar situation prolonged, a grudge built up inside me. I was hurt emotionally. So I caught one staff member and asked. That staff called me aside and said that I was badmouthing the actresses and gossiping about the staff. It was a senior actress who sowed discord," she exposed.

She also spoke about the tension among actresses during the dress selection process before award ceremonies. Go Eun-ah said, "There is a war among stylists. My stylist had reserved a dress and even tailored it to fit me. But a senior actress took that dress away," she revealed.

She recalled, "That senior was chosen as the best dresser that day and even had her photo published in a magazine. I was upset because I had to wear an ill-fitting dress that day," she reminisced.
