[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) held a 'Walker (Silver Car) Delivery Ceremony' for the elderly on the 16th at the district office auditorium.

This delivery ceremony, hosted by the Gwangnaru Cultural Forum composed of Gwangjin-gu residents, was organized to reduce the inconvenience for low-income elderly and the financial burden of purchasing walkers.

On this day, one walker (Silver Car) was delivered to each of 51 elderly individuals. The target elderly were recommended and selected by the local community centers.

For the safety and convenience of the elderly, the district delivered the walkers (Silver Cars) to the homes of the recipients after the event.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I hope the walkers received this time will bring good fortune to the elderly and help them enjoy happy outings in the new year," adding, "Going forward, the district will continue to create many gift-like projects that bring small but great happiness to the elderly."
