Black Yak Sponsors Symposium to Promote Outdoor Culture 활성화

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Global outdoor brand Black Yak announced on the 16th that it participated as a sponsor in the Eco-friendly Exploration and Outdoor Culture Activation Symposium.


Hosted by the Korea Outdoor Sports Industry Association and the Korea National Park Service, this symposium was planned to explore ways to promote eco-friendly nature exploration and outdoor culture activation. It was held with the participation of officials from institutions, academia, industry, and outdoor experts.


Kang Tae-seon, Chairman of Black Yak and President of the Korea Outdoor Sports Industry Association, said in his opening remarks, "Coexistence with nature is an essential task inseparable from the essence of outdoor activities. The reason for the existence of outdoor activities is to encourage people to enjoy nature more creatively and uniquely, and this will be a time to explore such ways."


The symposium began with a keynote speech by Han Sun-hee, CEO of Creative Factory Group, followed by presentations from Gong Woo-seok, Professor of Geography at Kyung Hee University; Moon Myung-geun, Director of the Exploration Welfare Division at the Korea National Park Service; Lee Dong-hoon, President of the Korea University Mountaineering Federation; Park Yo-han, CEO of Outdoor Academy; and Choi Song-hyun, Professor of Landscape Architecture at Pusan National University.


The discussions focused on the importance of sustainable use and conservation of nature, the need for platforms and software development to spread diverse and eco-friendly outdoor cultures, among other topics.


Meanwhile, Black Yak is leading a nature-friendly hiking culture through various programs of the largest domestic hiking activity platform, Black Yak Alpine Club.
