Former Dongyang University Professor Jin Joong-kwon Engages in Heated Debate with Writer Gong Ji-young
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Amid the ongoing war of words between writer Gong Ji-young and former Dongyang University professor Jin Jung-kwon, Gong declared that she would "no longer mention him." Jin welcomed this, saying, "I will pray every day that (Gong Ji-young) will leave the Muncheonji cult and return to the Lord's embrace."
On the 14th, Gong Ji-young posted on her Facebook, "Jin Jung-kwon is now bringing Jesus and the Bible to criticize me. Honestly, it gives me chills. The comments on his posts are dominated by the far-right," adding, "I will no longer mention him, just as I do not mention Kim Ji-ha or Kim Moon-soo," declaring she would stop using the word 'Jin Jung-kwon.'
She further added, "Honestly, I was worried he might have bad thoughts, but at least he is healthy and not discouraged, so I consider that fortunate."
In response, on the 15th, Jin Jung-kwon posted on his Facebook, "You have made a good decision. Once the chills subside, try going out to the village hall," and said, "Remember the commandment, 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor,' Exodus 20:16."
He continued, "In any case, I will pray every day that our sister Ji-young will leave that evil Muncheonji cult and return to the Lord's embrace."
Earlier, Jin had posted on his Facebook the previous day, saying, "Gong Ji-young is an interesting person. She has a unique mentalit? (way of thinking). Her sensibilit? (sensitivity) is also distinctive. Something spiritual, perhaps?"
He went on, "Anyway, for Gong Ji-young, the Cho family is a holy family, and Professor Jeong Gyeong-shim is the Virgin Mary. She has miraculously conceived many certificates, diplomas, commendations, and proofs of completion," mocking, "All of that is true. They are certificates of virgin conception by the Holy Spirit, so they should not be judged by worldly standards."
He added, "Cho Kuk is Jesus Christ, and Gong Ji-young is Mary Magdalene, who met Him and gained a new life," saying, "She washed His feet with her hair, kissed His feet, and poured ointment on them. This is from Luke 7:38. Let us all meditate on this."
