| 18 Members of Pusan National University Volunteer Group, ASEAN 4th Industrial Revolution Overseas Creative Service
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yang Hee-jung] Pusan National University’s '4th Overseas Creative Job Volunteer Group' has been conducting creative volunteer work in Vietnam for 15 days from the 8th to the 22nd.
Pusan National University announced on the 17th that, during the vacation, it is collaborating with Tien Giang University in Vietnam to provide education on core future industry technologies such as advanced 3D printing, drones, Arduino (a tool for creating interactive objects and digital devices), and video editing locally in Vietnam.
This activity is expected to be a valuable experience that stimulates interest and motivation in technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution era among Vietnamese students, while allowing Pusan National University students to link their major-related jobs with volunteer work and grow independently.
The classes are divided into three teams (3D printing, drones and Arduino, video production) for about 70 local students and conducted over a total of 63 hours across two weeks. Basic usage education of 3D printers, understanding of drone principles and control methods through practice, coding classes using Arduino kits, and various educational activities from basic video editing to production practice will be provided to stimulate students’ interest and help improve creativity.
Chae Yesul, team leader of the Overseas Creative Job Volunteer Group and a student at Pusan National University, stated, “This creative volunteer work is not simply aimed at knowledge transfer, but also aims to provide local students with opportunities to learn and master new technologies, while creating an environment where local students can continue to develop creatively even after the volunteer work ends.”
Kim Sang-il, leading the students in the Overseas Creative Job Volunteer Group, said, “This will be an opportunity for Pusan National University students to gain practical skills related to their assigned jobs as well as experience in mutual communication and exchange.”
