Seo Jung-jin, Chairman of Celltrion, Appointed as New Chairman of the National Opera Company

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 15th that Seo Jeong-jin (63), chairman of Celltrion, has been appointed as the new chairman of the National Opera Company. The term is three years, until January 14, 2023.

Chairman Seo has shown interest in developing and supplying cultural and artistic content, including investing 3 billion won in the 2016 film 'Incheon Landing Operation' through Celltrion Entertainment.

An official from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, "We expect Chairman Seo to contribute to establishing the identity of the National Opera Company and expanding its business areas based on his extensive experience and knowledge accumulated from managing a large corporation."
