[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sun-hee] On the 13th, President Moon Jae-in appointed Kim Ki-pyo, chairman of the Legislative Theory and Practice Association (67), as the Vice Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.


The newly appointed Vice Chairman Kim graduated from Busan Gyeongnam High School and Busan National University with a degree in law, earned a master's degree in law from the University of London in the UK, and a doctorate in law from Kyung Hee University. He served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Government Legislation, the 9th President of the Korea Legislation Research Institute, and a member of the National Constitutional Special Advisory Committee. He is a high school alumnus of President Moon.


President Moon also appointed Seo Hyung-soo, a current member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party of Korea (63), as Vice Chairman of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee. The Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee is a direct agency chaired by President Moon, serving as the control tower for population policy.
