[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Sung-yeol] Jang Hye-jin, Yoon Min-soo, and Ben each won the 'Artist of the Year Award' in the digital music categories for June and July at the '2020 Gaon Chart Music Awards.'

At the '9th Gaon Chart Music Awards (Gaon Chart)' held at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul at 7 PM on the 8th, Jang Hye-jin and Yoon Min-soo received the Artist of the Year Award for June with the song "Suli Munjeya," and Ben won the July digital music category with "Heeojyeojwoseo Gomawo."

Yoon Min-soo, who came on stage to give his acceptance speech, introduced himself by saying, "I am Yoon Min-soo, who cannot live sober due to many misunderstandings and unfounded rumors," and then deeply bowed to Jang Hye-jin, who joined him on stage.

Jang Hye-jin expressed her feelings, saying, "I was surprised," and added, "I am grateful to receive such a deep bow on stage. I was happy throughout last year working with Yoon Min-soo. Thank you for all the love."

She continued, "I was happy just to be able to sing, but I am even more thankful to receive this award. I will repay you with good songs in the future."

Following Jang Hye-jin's remarks, Yoon Min-soo said, "I would like to say one last thing," and addressed recent allegations of chart manipulation, stating, "Vibe has done nothing shameful. All the artists in our company are facing misunderstandings and unfounded rumors, but I hope they continue to sing and make music confidently as they have."

He added, "I hope that this controversy will correct the wrongs and that honest musicians will not suffer innocent damage."
