Dream Security Launches Subscription Service via Amazon, First in Security Industry

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Dream Security announced on the 7th that it has launched a subscription-based service through Amazon (AWS). The newly launched subscription service is an enterprise-grade attendance management service based on facial recognition. The service targets workplaces requiring large-scale workforce management and has already secured CJ Logistics' six domestic logistics center sites as customers.

Dream Security established its North American subsidiary early last year and has been preparing the service in cooperation with the global cloud provider Amazon. As a result, it became the first domestic information security company to launch a subscription service charging monthly usage fees through Amazon, laying the foundation for practical entry into the global market.

Additionally, Dream Security will improve cost structure efficiency through this collaboration with Amazon. To launch the service, Dream Security utilized Amazon's serverless technology. The serverless approach eliminates the need for users to build separate servers, thus avoiding the high costs of server construction, and allows flexible use of Amazon's resources based on hourly traffic usage.

This method is especially suitable for large-scale workplaces where attendance times are concentrated within specific time frames, causing idle server costs. It can be effectively used not only in logistics sites but also in shipyards and construction sites that require management of large on-site workforces.

Starting with the launch of this subscription service, Dream Security plans to continuously strengthen its partnership with Amazon by expanding global distribution channels for information security solutions using the Amazon Marketplace, upgrading partner company (APN) levels to support global marketing, and more.
