Economic Groups Including Sangui, Federation of Korean Industries, and KITA Attend CES... "Let's Learn Global Future Technologies" Tinkware participating in 'CES2020' for the 9th consecutive year.

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Following major domestic companies, economic organizations have formed large-scale delegations to visit CES, the world's largest electronics exhibition. They are determined to secure global competitiveness by confirming new future technologies and reviewing their companies' innovation directions.

According to the business community on the 6th, the delegation, composed of Park Yongman, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), and chairpersons of about 10 regional chambers including Busan and Ulsan, departed for Las Vegas, USA, where CES is held.

This is the first time Chairman Park is officially visiting CES in his capacity as KCCI chairman. Through this visit, KCCI plans to closely observe the future global industrial ecosystem driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) also formed a CES delegation of about 50 people, including the association's chairpersons and related organizations. This is the largest scale among domestic economic organizations, with members including Chairman Han Junho of Samchully, Chairman Oh Seoksong of MetaBioMed, as well as officials from COEX and Korea Trade Network (KTNET).

The KITA delegation plans to visit Google, Samsung Semiconductor, and the Exicon Startup Center. Since participants come from various industries such as semiconductor equipment, electronics and electrical, medical supplies, cosmetics, daily necessities, trade, and energy, they plan to explore various innovation directions that can respond to technological convergence and changes in the global value chain.

The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) affiliated organization, the International Management Institute, will lead a 25-member 'FKI CES 2020 & U.S. Innovative Companies Korean Delegation' to visit innovative companies located in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, USA.

The FKI International Management Institute delegation will especially conduct an industrial inspection tour with world-renowned roboticist Professor Dennis Hong, visiting CES and encountering innovative company trends that have changed the world.

A business community official said, "Due to the rapid changes in the industrial landscape caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, companies from various industries are showing interest in CES," adding, "Not only large corporations but also mid-sized and small business executives continue to attend CES to gain insights into future management."
