[CES2020] Over 50 Martial Arts Delegates Dispatched... Largest Economic Organization Participation

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 5th that it will dispatch a delegation to attend 'CES 2020,' the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 7th to the 12th (local time).

The delegation, led by KITA Chairman Kim Youngjoo, includes 11 chairpersons from the Trade Association such as Han Junho, Chairman of Samchully; Oh Seoksong, Chairman of Metabiomed; Hwang Cheolju, Chairman of Jusung Engineering; Choi Myungbae, Chairman of Exicon; Park Hyerin, Chairwoman of Omni System; and Lee Inho, President of Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, along with about 50 officials from related organizations including COEX, Korea Trade Network (KTNET), and NH Nonghyup.

After attending CES, the delegation plans to visit Nvidia, Google, Samsung Semiconductor, and the Exicon Startup Center located in Silicon Valley.

Chairwoman Park Hyerin said, "CES is the world's largest exhibition that breaks down the boundaries between industries such as 5th generation mobile communication (5G), artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving, entertainment, and sports, leading future technology trends," and expressed her expectations, saying, "I hope this visit will help find directions for innovation that can respond to the accelerating convergence of technologies and changes in the global value chain (GVC)."

Lee Donggi, Head of KITA's Innovation Growth Headquarters, said, "This delegation is the largest among economic organizations," and added, "The association and related organizations will continue to strive to secure corporate competitiveness and boost export vitality through fostering innovative startups, digitalizing manufacturing, and open innovation."
