"Expectations for the Role of Centrist Reform Forces in Winning the General Election"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Sohn Hak-kyu, leader of the Bareunmirae Party, stated on the 2nd, "I actively welcome former Bareunmirae Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo's declaration of political comeback."
On the same day, Sohn said on Facebook, "At the moment when the new political reform is starting with the National Assembly's passage of the mixed-member proportional representation system, former lawmaker Ahn has once again stood at the starting line of centrist reform and multi-party coalition politics."
Sohn added, "I expect former lawmaker Ahn to play a significant role for the Bareunmirae Party and the centrist reform forces' victory in the general election, as well as for the future of Korean politics, with the vision he has honed during the past year abroad reflecting on his six years of political activity."
Sohn concluded, "As I have publicly mentioned several times before, I will do my best to accept everything former lawmaker Ahn wants and help him settle in. I wish him success."
