Korean band 10cm has excited indie music fans by announcing the release date of the new album after their two-year long hiatus.
An official from the duo’s agency Ten Music told the magazine on Tuesday that 10cm will roll out their much anticipated second full-length album “2.0” on October 10.
While the band is keeping their original concept of straightforward lyrics and acoustic melody, other various instruments are used in the upcoming eleven-track album to deepen the sounds, Ten Music officials said through a separate press release Tuesday.
10cm members, who have established the group's unique sounds and concept through the first studio album "1.0" released in February 2011, will embark on their album activities with the track's "Fine thank you and you" and "Farewell of Han River" [translated title].
Composed of vocalist Kwon Jung-yeol and guitarist Yoon Chul-jong, 10cm has been considered as one of the most successful indie artists that have made it into the mainstream music scene here.
The duo shot to stardom with their mega-hit song “Americano” in 2010 and gained wider recognition after appearing on MBC’s legendary variety show “Infinite Challenge” in 2011.
