JYJ’s member and actor Park Yuchun may be returning to the screen faster than expected, and officials say it may be as early as this October.
According to sources, the “Rooftop Prince” actor is considering to star in another Wednesday and Thursday TV series, "I Miss You" (translated title), airing in October.
If Park is to pen the contract with the broadcaster, MBC, the heartthrob will portray a broken-hearted man who agonizes over shared memories he had with his first crush during their relationship.
Rumors have been surfing on the internet that Korean top actress Son Ye-jin has been offered to depict the role of Park's first crush in the TV series but Son's agency, MSteam Entertainment, strongly denied the gossip.
"Son will not be able to take part in the melodrama because she will be working on her next film “Accomplice” (translated title) until the end of September," he said.
While Park is enough to make the roaster an impressive one, two hit makers in the small screen have signed on to be part of the highly anticipated project.
Meanwhile, director Lee Jae-dong of “Thank you” (MBC, 2007) and scriptwriter Moon Hee-jung of "Can You Hear My Heart" (MBC, 2011) are joining the crew.
Park Yuchun, who kicked off his career as an idol singer, has been concentrating on expanding his experiences as an actor by taking on the male leads in KBS’ “SungKyunKwan Scandal” in 2010 and MBC's "Miss Ripley" in 2011.
His latest work SBS' “Rooftop Prince" was a huge hit during its air between March and May and its ratings peaked at 15.7 percent on the last episode, based on data from AGB Nielson.
