Nine-member boy band ZE:A will soon begin their follow-up activities with a new single in two weeks, after wrapping up promotional events for their second full-length album "SPECTACULAR."
Star Empire Entertainment announced in a press release Tuesday that ZE:A will simultaneously unleash their new single titled "Phoenix" in Korea and Japan on August 27.
Their forthcoming release will list a total of five songs including the title track "Phoenix," the R&B version of their last title track "Aftermath" and a newly re-arranged version of their tune "Heart for 2."
"ZE:A's new song and concept is the epitome of what an idol group is and the members will show powerful dance moves as well," an official with Star Empire said in the statement.
The rep explained that "Phoenix" is a track that will define how ZE:A wants to rise up just like the phoenix, while their overall concept will be differentiated between Korea and Japan.
Ahead of its official release, ZE:A will be heading to Japan on August 24 to begin promoting "Phoenix."
ZE:A, which stands for 'Children of Empire' in Korean, is formed of Moon Jun-young, Kim Dong-jun, Jung Hee-cheol, Kevin, Hwang Kwang-hee, Ha Min-woo, Siwan, Park Hyung-sik and Kim Tae-hun.
In the meantime, ZE:A will stage their final performance for "Aftermath," released on July 4, on televised music programs this week.
