Korean female idol Soyeon of girl group T-ara has been involved in a car accident, according to an official with her agency Core Contents Media.
A rep with Core Contents told the magazine in a brief phone interview Monday that Soyeon was rushed to the emergency room after her van slipped off the road and flipped over early this morning.
"Soyeon and two of her stylists were en route for a shooting in Busan for KBS' 'Lovers of Haeundae' when the vehicle slipped on the rainy roads and hit the guard rail two times before it flipped over on its side," the Core Contents official explained.
The rep said that Soyeon and the two passengers were immediately rushed to the emergency room to the nearest hospital.
"Soyeon seemed to be shaken up by the accident though she did not sustain any external injuries though she will undergo a thorough examination," the rep said, adding that her shooting schedule for the day has been cancelled till further notice.
Soyeon is the leader of girl group T-ara who made their debut in 2009. She is currently playing the role of Cho Yeo-jung's younger sister named Lee Kwan-soon in "Lovers of Haeundae" which kicked off its run on August 6.
