Songstress IU's snippet of her new self-written track landed online this morning, indicating what kind of vibe this young artist will bring this time with the upcoming single.
As the clock struck midnight on May 3, the 90-second teaser clip featuring IU composing her song "Peach" was uploaded on her agency LOEN's official YouTube channel.
Wearing a loose t-shirt and shorts, IU hums softly to adjust tones and melodies in the video. The painting of a peach shown at the end of the clip was drawn by IU herself, according to LOEN's press release on Thursday.
"IU's last album was a bit gloomy and blue, but this time her songs will make their fans' hearts flutter. They're sweet love tunes and have a bit more private stories (than before)," the album's producer Cho Young-chul was quoted as saying.
While the title of other songs and number of tracks listed on the forthcoming record have yet to be revealed, the officials noted that the full version of "Peach" is to be unveiled on Thursday at midnight.
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, made her debut with her first mini-album "Lost and Found" in September 2008. She has since produced a number of hit songs such as "Boo," "Marshmallow" and "Nagging," a duet with 2AM member Seulong.
Meanwhile, IU's nationwide tour, dubbed "REAL FANTASY," will kick off in Seoul for about a month starting June 2.
