Korean songstress IU will release her Japanese debut single in two months time, according to her agency Loen Entertainment.
An official with Loen told 10Asia over the phone that IU's first Japanese single "Good Day" will hit stores on March 21. It will include the Japanese version of her songs "Good Day" and "Raindrop."
"IU first performed the her songs 'Good Day' and 'Raindrop' as well as other tunes at her showcase 'IU JAPAN PREMIUM 'SPECIAL LIVE' in the country on Tuesday," the official explained.
She then said that a total of some 4,000 fans were in attendance for the event held twice on January 24 in Tokyo.
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, made her debut with her first mini-album "Lost and Found" in September 2008. She has since produced a number of hit songs such as "Boo," "Marshmallow" and "Nagging" with 2AM member Seulong.
Locally, she is currently promoting title track "YOU&I" from her second full-length album "Last Fantasy" which topped all online music websites upon its release.
