Korean boy band BEAST has canceled their upcoming activities in Japan after facing problems with their Visa, according to their agency Cube Entertainment on Wednesday.
Cube announced in a press release that BEAST canceled their activities to promote their first full-length Japanese album “SO BEAST” after they were unable to pass through customs at the Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday morning.
The six-member boy band returned to Korea later that night after waiting at the airport for eight hours.
“We had received prior confirmation from Universal Music Japan, BEAST’s Japanese label, that there were no problems regarding their schedule or Visa,” an official from Cube was quoted as saying, adding that they are currently looking in the ordeal with Universal Music with the hopes of preventing any future problems with BEAST’s upcoming activities in the country.
BEAST, formed of members Du-jun, Hyun-seung, Yo-seop, Dong-woon, Gi-kwang and Jun-hyung, has been one of the most popular boy bands in Korea since making their debut in 2009.
The boys released their first full-length Japanese release "SO BEAST" which came in second place on Oricon's daily chart after going on sale on August 10.
Locally, BEAST had performed with Cube Entertainment labelmates for their UNITED CUBE CONCERT which took place in Seoul over the weekend.
