Magician Lee Eun-gyeol will perform his magic tricks overseas, making an appearance on a popular television program in Japan.
EG Project announced in a press release on Monday that Lee will appear in two episodes of Japan's TBS' program "KURABERU KURABERAR," hosted by Japanese personality Ken Shimura, on May 25 and June 1, making him the first Korean magician to take part in the show.
"KURABERU KURABERAR" is a program which compares and contrasts popular items in the Korean and Japanese culture. Past appearances on the show include Korean idols Girls' Generation, KARA, 2PM and T-ara.
The episodes featuring Lee will compare Lee and a popular Japanese magician's magic techniques.
Lee started his career as a magician while in high school and cultivated talent to become recognized as the top magician in Korea.
He has won over half a dozen international awards starting with his first win at the 2001 Japan UGM magic competition to the top prize in general magic at the 2006 International Federation of Magic Societies.
Lee was named the recipient of the 2011 Merlin Award which is bestowed by The International Magicians Society (IMS) in March. He is currently on a nationwide tour in Korea titled "The Illusion," performing his magic in 19 cities.
