Five-member boy band B1A4 has signed an exclusive contract with top Japanese talent agency Pony Canyon, according to their agency WM Entertainment. On Friday, WM announced in a press release that B1A4 will officially begin their singing activities in Japan with Pony Canyon, a subsidiary of Japanese Media Group Fujisankei Communications Group. Pony Canyon is in charge of the careers of top Japanese stars including w-inds, Aiko, Ueto Aya as well as distributing albums for Korean artists such as Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-wook and SS501. "The members of B1A4 are different from their other rookie groups right now with their music, choreography and fashion sense," an official with Pony Canyon was quoted as saying. In the meantime, the boys will hold their first-ever showcase in Japan titled "B1A4 -JAPAN SHOWCASE LIVE 2011-" at the Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo on December 9. They will also release a licensed album, featuring their hit songs from their first and second mini-album, in January of next year. Composed of members Sandeul, Baro, Jinyoung, Gongchan and CNU, B1A4 (Be the One, All for One) made their debut in April this year with single "OK."
