Korean boy band MBLAQ has made Oricon history with their Japanese debut single, according to their agency J.Tune Entertainment on Wednesday. J.Tune announced in a press release that the boys have sold over 40,000 copies of "Your Luv,” placing them at the No. 2 spot on Oricon's weekly chart and making them the first Asian artists to achieve the feat in just a week into their official debut. "Your Luv," which went on sale in the country on May 4, has also held onto its position at first place on Oricon’s daily chart for three consecutive days as well as becoming the most-downloaded ringtone on Japan's Recochoku mobile chart and placing within the top three slots of preorder album charts in mid-April. The boys held special events in Kawasaki, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Tokyo and Nagoya to celebrate the release of “Your Luv” earlier this month. Composed of members Seung-ho, G.O., Lee Joon, Chun-dung and Mir, MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) made their debut in 2009 with their single album "JUST BLAQ" and followed it up with their second single "Y" in May 2009.Their most recent activity in Korea was with their first full-length album "BLAQ Style" and its 3D edition released in January and February, respectively, this year.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
