TVXQ to return with repackaged album next week

Korean duo TVXQ [SM Entertainment]

Korean duo TVXQ will make their comeback to the local music scene with their repackaged album next week, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday. SM announced in a press release that TVXQ will unveil the repackaged version of their latest album "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" which will include the new title track "Know This Before You Leave" on March 16. The boys first revealed "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" in early January with their title track of the same name taking over a number of online and offline music charts. The album also fared well in Japan with the album scoring platinum status for selling over 250,000 copies and placing atop the prestigious Oricon chart. "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" also took over the music charts in Taiwan, coming in first place on all major Taiwanese weekly album charts including G-MUSIC, Five Music and Kuang nan in mid-January. TVXQ, formerly composed of five members Hero Jaejoong, Mickey Yuchun, Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, enjoyed high popularity throughout Asia as one the leading dance groups in K-pop scene since their debut in 2004. However, after disputing with agency SM Entertainment over the unfairness of their 13-year exclusive contract, Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu halted their activities as TVXQ and instead formed trio JYJ. TVXQ is now a duo group led by two remaining members Changmin and Yunho will also release the repackaged album of "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" in Japan on March 30. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
