On Tuesday, the 3rd, rain or snow is expected in many areas nationwide. Rain or snow will continue until dawn in the central regions, Jeolla region, inland areas of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, the southern coast of South Gyeongsang Province, and its western inland areas. In the rest of the Gyeongsang region and Jeju Island, precipitation is expected until the afternoon, while in the east coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, rain or snow will continue until nighttime.

The expected precipitation is 10 to 50 mm in the east coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province; 5 to 30 mm in Busan, Ulsan, South Gyeongsang Province, the east coast and northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island; 5 to 20 mm in the Jeolla region, inland areas of Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, Ulleungdo and Dokdo; 5 to 15 mm in inland Gangwon Province; and 5 to 10 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region.
Snow accumulation is expected to reach 10 to 30 cm (with some locations receiving more than 40 cm) in the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province; 10 to 20 cm in the northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province; 3 to 8 cm (with some locations receiving more than 10 cm) in inland and northern east coast areas of Gangwon Province; 2 to 7 cm in northern and southeastern Gyeonggi Province and northeastern inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province; and 1 to 5 cm in northern Chungcheongbuk-do, northeastern Jeollabuk-do, and western inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province. Additionally, 1 to 3 cm is expected in the central and southern east coast areas of Gangwon Province, central and southern Chungcheongbuk-do, northern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province, and western inland of South Gyeongsang Province; around 1 cm in eastern inland areas of Jeollanam-do; and less than 1 cm in Seoul and Incheon.
Wet and heavy snow will be concentrated in northern and southeastern Gyeonggi Province, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, the northern east coast of Gangwon Province, and northeastern inland and mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province. The hourly snowfall rate may reach 1 to 3 cm (and around 5 cm in some areas), increasing the possibility of heavy snow warnings being expanded or strengthened.
Morning lows are forecast to range from -1 to 7 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will range from 5 to 15 degrees Celsius. These are higher than the average for this time of year (morning lows: -5 to 4 degrees; daytime highs: 7 to 12 degrees).
In the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters is possible due to low clouds.
The west coast of South Chungcheong Province, eastern inland areas of Jeolla Province, southern coast of Jeollanam-do, southern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province, coastal areas of South Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island are expected to experience strong winds with gusts of over 70 km/h (20 m/s). As a result, flight operations may be delayed, so travelers are advised to check flight information in advance.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at a 'good' level nationwide, thanks to the influx of clean northeasterly winds.
Wave heights are expected to range from 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea. In offshore areas (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 2.0 to 5.5 meters in the South Sea, 1.5 to 4.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea.
