The Iranian Red Crescent Society (the Red Cross organization in Islamic countries) announced on March 2 that at least 555 people have died in Iran so far as a result of attacks by the United States and Israel.
According to the semi-official Fars News Agency in Iran on the same day, the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated, "Attacks by enemies across various regions of Iran have affected 131 cities, and unfortunately, 555 of our citizens have lost their lives."
Among those who have died so far is Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Civilian casualties are also mounting, with at least 165 people killed at an all-girls elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan Province in southern Iran alone.
