Traditional Korean Bronzeware Tableware Set Prepared for Prime Minister's Spouse
During his state visit to Singapore, President Lee Jaemyung prepared gifts for Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his spouse to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The gifts included porcelain tableware reflecting Korean folk painting styles that incorporate national symbols, as well as a Western tableware set crafted using traditional Korean yugi (bronzeware) techniques.
According to the Blue House on March 2, President Lee presented Prime Minister Wong with a porcelain plate inspired by Korean folk art. At the center of the plate, a tiger symbolizing Korea and a lion representing Singapore are featured, alongside iconic landmarks from both countries, visually expressing "cultural exchange" and "harmonious coexistence."

For the spouse of Prime Minister Wong, a Western tableware set made using traditional Korean yugi (bronzeware) techniques was prepared. The set is characterized by its subtle golden hue and balanced form. A silk scarf was also included. The Blue House explained that the chosen scarf features a modern reinterpretation of traditional Korean patterns, taking into account the preference among Singaporean women for wearing scarves indoors to protect against air conditioning.
