Simultaneous First and Second Prize Wins in the 303rd Pension Lottery Draw

A case in which an individual won both the first and second prizes in the Pension Lottery 720+ has been made public. The winner will receive a total of 2.16 billion won in annuity prize money.
Donghaeng Lottery, the lottery operator, recently introduced an interview on its official website with a purchaser who won both one first prize and four second prizes in the 303rd draw of the Pension Lottery 720+. The lottery tickets were reportedly purchased at a retailer located in Buk-gu, Busan.
Regarding the reason for purchasing the tickets, the winner stated, "One day, as I was about to get out of my car after parking, I noticed some cash left inside. That prompted me to buy a pension lottery ticket on the spot."
The winner also shared the process of discovering the win. "A few days later, as usual, I stopped by a nearby lottery shop to buy a Lotto ticket, and the owner happened to be hanging a banner for a first prize winner in the Pension Lottery. When I checked the draw number, it was the same as the one I had purchased," the winner said. "With a glimmer of hope, I went home and checked again, only to realize that I was the lucky winner I had dreamed of becoming."
The winner confessed, "It didn’t feel real, and I spent several sleepless nights. Recently, I have been going through a lot of sad and difficult times in my personal life, with hardly a day passing without tears. This win has become a great comfort and a new turning point in my life."
He added, "I want to use this stroke of luck as a stepping stone to overcome my pain and start a new life. I often purchase Lotto, Pension Lottery, and Speedo scratch cards."
Regarding plans for the prize money, the winner commented, "I plan to buy a car first and then purchase my own home. I am ready to embark on the second chapter of my life."
The Pension Lottery 720+ consists of a set of five tickets. If a participant purchases an entire set with the same number and wins, they can win both one first prize and four second prizes simultaneously. The first prize is paid as 7 million won per month for 20 years, while the second prize is paid as 1 million won per month for 10 years, both in installments. The prize must be claimed within one year from the start of the payment date.
The draw takes place every Thursday at 7:05 p.m. and is broadcast live through the Pension Lottery 720+ program.
