Three-Day Exhibition at COEX Starting March 11
Showcasing Innovative Materials for EVs, ESS, and Humanoids
Highlighting Open Innovation and Sustainable Supply Chain Strategies
POSCO Future M will participate in InterBattery 2026, which will be held at COEX in Seoul from March 11 to 13, showcasing next-generation cathode and anode material technologies applicable to a variety of industries, including autonomous electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems (ESS), and humanoid robots. The company will also release details on its group-wide achievements in building a supply chain encompassing raw materials, materials, and recycling.
At this exhibition, POSCO Future M has prepared a 451-square-meter (approximately 136 pyeong) booth under the theme 'Together, Drawing BoT (Battery of Things) Future,' which is divided into five zones. Each zone is themed around ▲ Autonomous EV ▲ Data Center ESS ▲ Advanced Solutions ▲ Open Innovation ▲ Sustainable Supply Chain, introducing how batteries are utilized across various industries and the material technologies that support them.
In the Autonomous EV Zone, the company will highlight its Ultra High-Ni cathode material, which contains more than 95% nickel to improve driving range and safety. LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cathode materials, suitable for ESS and entry-level electric vehicles, will also be on display. In addition, POSCO Future M will unveil the development status and mid-to-long-term roadmap for next-generation materials such as cathode materials for all-solid-state batteries and silicon anode materials, which are attracting attention in next-generation industries like robotics.
In the Open Innovation Zone, POSCO Future M will showcase the current status of joint research and development being conducted with Factorial, a US-based all-solid-state battery company. The two companies are scheduled to deliver a joint keynote lecture on battery material R&D strategies at 11 a.m. on March 12, during the InterBattery exhibition.
In addition, POSCO Group will present its Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process technology, which enables economical lithium production even from low-concentration brine, as well as updates on the development of key all-solid-state battery materials such as solid electrolytes and lithium metal anodes. The exhibition will also feature electric vehicle steel products, including POSCO International's drive motor cores and rare earth permanent magnets, as well as battery packs and cylindrical battery can materials from POSCO.
POSCO Group has established a full-cycle supply chain for lithium, covering everything from securing brine and raw material mines to producing cathode and anode materials and battery recycling. The group is especially expanding its global investments in high-quality resources such as lithium brine in Argentina, lithium mines in Australia, and graphite mines in Africa.
Meanwhile, the exhibition booth will feature interactive events where visitors can learn about battery materials through games and participate in donation activities. The social contribution fund raised based on participation will be donated to the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation.
