Trump Announces Iranian Navy Strike on Social Media
On March 1 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. had sunk nine Iranian naval vessels during the ongoing second day of attacks on Iran.
President Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, stating, "I just received a report that we destroyed and sank nine Iranian naval vessels. Some of them were large and significant ships."
He added, "We are continuing to attack the remaining vessels, and those will soon be at the bottom of the sea as well." He continued, "In another strike, we destroyed most of the Iranian Navy's headquarters. Other than that, their navy is holding up quite well," he said.
Meanwhile, the United States, together with Israel, launched an airstrike on Iran the previous day as part of a military operation called 'Epic Fury.' In response, Iran is carrying out retaliatory airstrikes targeting major Israeli cities and U.S. military bases in the Middle East.
