The IRGC claimed, “The proud Iranian military has attacked the American and Zionist (Israeli) enemies, and the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was hit by four ballistic missiles.”
The IRGC emphasized, “We are conducting a powerful strike targeting the exhausted enemy’s military forces,” adding, “Both land and sea will become the graveyard of the invading terrorists.”
The United States has not yet issued an official response, including from Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees US military operations in the Middle East.

The US military, anticipating joint attacks by Israel and Iran, had deployed the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (CSG-3), led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, and the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (CSG-12), led by the USS Gerald R. Ford, to waters in the Middle East several weeks prior to prepare for military operations.
