Recently, multiple posts titled "Tiffany and Byeon Yo-han Wedding Photo" have appeared on various online communities and social networking services (SNS). These posts featured images of Byeon Yo-han dressed in a pink suit and Tiffany in a wedding dress. Tiffany is shown holding a bouquet and smiling brightly, while Byeon Yo-han looks at the camera with a relaxed pose and expression.
In the photo, Girls' Generation members are lined up on both sides of the couple. The members are all wearing deep rose-colored long dresses, smiling brightly as they look at the bride and groom.
Early viewers commented, "The warm atmosphere is nice," and "It must feel gratifying to have members who sincerely congratulate your marriage." However, some expressed skepticism, saying, "The matching outfits look awkward," and "The way the members are standing looks strange." Suspicion grew further when another photo surfaced, showing former member Jessica, along with Byeon Yo-han and Tiffany, raising further doubts about the authenticity of the images.
The conclusion is that the photos were "fake." It has been confirmed that Byeon Yo-han and Tiffany Young never took these photos with the Girls' Generation members.
Recently, as AI image generation technology has advanced rapidly, cases of composite images that are difficult to distinguish from real photos have increasingly been shared online. In particular, content combining such images with high-profile issues like celebrity weddings, relationships, or obituaries is often accepted as fact by the public, leading to confusion and highlighting the need for caution.
Notably, according to a study by the AI video editing platform "Kapwing" as of October last year, South Korea ranked first in the world for "AI Slop" channel views on YouTube with 8.45 billion views, and 4 out of the 10 most-viewed AI-generated video channels worldwide are estimated to be Korean. This demonstrates the high level of AI content creation and consumption in South Korea.
Although the Basic AI Act, which requires watermarks on AI-generated videos and images, came into effect this year, the obligation to display such marks applies only to "business operators." Individual users who create content using these services are, in principle, not subject to this requirement, leading to ongoing debates about the labeling of AI-generated content.
Meanwhile, Tiffany and Byeon Yo-han completed their marriage registration on February 27, 2026, becoming a legally married couple. The schedule and location of their wedding ceremony have not yet been decided, but it is reported that they are considering a small, worship-style ceremony to share their gratitude with family members.
