Dongshin University has been designated as a certified university under the Accreditation System of Internationalization Competency in Education for the sixth consecutive year.
On March 1, Dongshin University announced that it has received final certification for both language training and degree programs in the 2025 Accreditation System of Internationalization Competency in Education evaluation, marking six consecutive years of certification since 2021. The certification period lasts for four years, until 2030.
The Accreditation System of Internationalization Competency in Education is a system implemented by the Ministry of Education to select and certify universities with high internationalization competency in order to enhance the quality of international student management and strengthen the international competitiveness of universities. The system thoroughly evaluates all aspects of international student management and operations, including the illegal stay rate, tuition burden rate, official language proficiency, and education on understanding Korean laws, to select outstanding universities.
In the evaluation of degree programs, Dongshin University received excellent ratings across all 10 indicators, including the illegal stay rate among international students, tuition burden rate, dropout rate, and support for education on understanding Korean laws. In addition, in the language training program evaluation, the university met the certification standards in all nine indicators, such as the illegal stay rate among international students, the ratio of certified Korean language teachers, tuition burden rate for language trainees, health insurance subscription rate, and completion rate of language trainees.
As a result, Dongshin University will enjoy benefits for four years until February 2030, including simplified visa issuance procedures for international students, selection as a university for government-sponsored international students (GKS), and preferential participation in overseas Korean study fairs.
Furthermore, Dongshin University will be listed as a certified university on the Korean Study Information System operated by the National Institute for International Education under the Ministry of Education and at overseas diplomatic missions, which is expected to further boost its efforts to attract international students.

We also plan to further enhance our educational programs to help international students study in a stable environment and grow as global talents leading the AI era."
Dongshin University is currently engaged in international exchange with 128 universities and institutions in 16 countries, and was selected as a certified institution for administering the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) in 2024.
This month, a total of 517 students are scheduled to enroll, including 68 language trainees, 214 undergraduate students, 192 master's students, and 43 doctoral students. The total number of international students, including new admissions, reaches 2,442 from 22 countries. Dongshin University provides a comfortable educational environment with facilities such as an international student lounge, student dormitories, and computer rooms. The university also operates a variety of programs, including a freshman motivation camp, cultural and language adaptation programs, and employment programs, to help students realize their dreams through a successful study abroad experience.
