This campaign left a strong impression on runners through storytelling banners and floor graphics installed throughout the marathon course. In particular, integrity-themed cheering phrases placed at "the toughest sections," where participants' stamina was most depleted, drew natural attention from the runners. Participants commented that it was "a refreshing approach that made them reflect on the values of integrity and honesty at moments of exhaustion."
Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, also completed the entire 10 km course together with marathon club members from the provincial government, and shared the meaning of "fair competition" with residents on site.
Jung Il-seop, Chairperson of the Audit Committee, emphasized, "The marathon spirit of taking an honest step forward even when you are out of breath is exactly the model of integrity we should pursue," and added, "Integrity is not a one-time declaration but a promise to our residents that must be upheld to the end. We will continue to maintain unwavering fair administration."
The province plans to use this campaign not as a one-off event, but as an opportunity to share its will to practice integrity throughout provincial affairs, and to further expand it in connection with various future resident participation events.
