Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificate Launches Biggest-Ever March Event
Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province will raise the discount rate for the Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificate from 10% to 12%, effective March 1. This purchase discount for the Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificate will be offered throughout the entire year, and in addition, from March 1 to March 31, for one month, customers who use the electronic (card or mobile) Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificate at affiliated stores will receive a 3% cashback on their spending.
Accordingly, if you charge and use KRW 700,000 worth of electronic Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificates during the month of March, you will receive a total consumption benefit of 15%, including the 12% upfront discount and the 3% cashback reward.
An official from Cheorwon County Office stated, "This '12% year-round discount on Cheorwon Sarang Gift Certificates + 3% March cashback' event is intended to invigorate the local community as we welcome the new spring and new school semester. At a time when concerns about economic downturns are rising due to the outbreak of livestock infectious diseases in the area, we have decided to raise the discount rate and, for the first time, introduce a special cashback policy as a countermeasure." The official added, "We will continue to develop additional policies as needed so that the local gift certificates purchased will lead to happy consumption that is felt by all residents, including small business owners."
Electronic (mobile or card-type) gift certificates can be issued and recharged through the Local Gift Certificate (chak) app, while paper gift certificates can be purchased at local agricultural cooperatives, livestock cooperatives, Saemaeul Geumgo, credit unions, and forestry cooperatives.
