119 Emergency Call Made from Kim's Phone in October Last Year
There is evidence suggesting that an incident similar to the first crime attributed to the suspect in the Gangbuk motel serial murder case, which was previously believed to have occurred in December of last year, may have taken place even earlier.
According to the transcript of an emergency 119 call submitted by the office of Yang Bunam, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, to the National Fire Agency on February 27, a report was received at 5:41 p.m. on October 25 of last year. The report was made from a mobile phone believed to belong to the suspect, Kim, stating that a man who was with him had collapsed at a restaurant in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
When the firefighter who received the call asked, "Who is hurt?" the caller, presumed to be Kim, replied, "No one is hurt." He explained that the man who accompanied him to the restaurant suddenly collapsed after drinking white wine.
The emergency medical activity log records that the man in his 20s who collapsed responded to pain stimuli, but exhibited "miosis," which is constriction of the pupils, and had slurred speech, leading to his transport to the hospital.
Kim is accused of handing drinks containing benzodiazepine-based drugs to a total of three men in their 20s between December 14 of last year and February 9 of this year, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and causing one to lose consciousness.
This 119 emergency call transcript reveals that a similar incident may have occurred two months prior to what was previously known as the first crime in December of last year.
Meanwhile, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office, which is currently investigating the case after receiving it, announced that it would hold a committee meeting on February 27 to review the public disclosure of Kim's personal information. However, no specific schedule was released.
