Seongnam City Awards a Total of 375 Million Won in Prize Money to Skating Team
At the '2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics' in Italy, four short track speed skaters from the Seongnam City Hall skating team-Minjeong Choi, Gilli Kim, Junseo Lee, and Jeongmin Lee-who won a total of five medals, held a fan signing event on February 27 to respond to the support of local citizens.

The fan signing session took place at 11 a.m. in the lobby on the first floor of Seongnam City Hall.
A total of 300 citizens, who had applied online in advance, received commemorative autographs from the athletes.
At the venue, a photo zone displaying the message "Thank you, Seongnam citizens, for your support" and a board where people could write their own messages of encouragement were set up and operated.
The four athletes from the Seongnam City Hall skating team excelled in all short track speed skating events at the Milan Olympics, earning two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.
This is the first time that all Seongnam City Hall athletes participating in the Olympics have won medals.
Before the fan signing event, Seongnam City awarded a total of 375 million won in prize money to the City Hall skating team at the venue.
In accordance with the ‘Seongnam City Hall Workplace Sports Team Establishment and Operation Ordinance Enforcement Rules,’ the city provides prize money to members of workplace sports teams who achieve results in various international competitions as encouragement.
Sangjin Shin, Mayor of Seongnam, stated, “I am delighted, as a fellow citizen of Seongnam, that this event enables our citizens to share in the excitement of our short track athletes’ medal races at the Olympics,” adding, “I am proud of each and every one of you.”
