Seoul Mayor Oh Sehun visited the Moa Town project site in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu, and pledged administrative support.
On the 27th, Mayor Oh visited the area around 483-10 Pungnap-dong and stated that the city would provide comprehensive administrative support to improve the project's profitability and shorten the project timeline.
This area is an aging low-rise residential neighborhood that has been difficult to develop due to double regulations: it is designated as a cultural heritage preservation management zone adjacent to Pungnap Earthen Fortress, resulting in height restrictions under cultural heritage regulations, and is also subject to building height limits as a specialized landscape district along Olympic-ro.
As the first site in the Gangnam area selected for a public management pilot project led by Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH), the redevelopment is expected to transform it into a complex of 930 units (including 94 rental units) in 20-story buildings.
SH is supporting areas facing difficulties in redevelopment due to special regional conditions by establishing business management plans and assisting with the formation of associations.
Mayor Oh stated, "We will make every effort, including interdepartmental consultations and regulatory improvements, to ensure that residents can tangibly experience rapid and smooth project implementation."
