"With the Mindset of Protecting Our Own Families"
All Executives to Visit Construction Sites Every Month
Safety and Health Management Meetings and On-site Safety Inspections
Oilkeun Oh, CEO of Lotte Construction, has been driving a strong focus on safety management since the beginning of his tenure.
According to Lotte Construction on February 27, CEO Oh personally participated in safety experience training with 38 executives at the "Safety ON" Safety Experience Center located at the Lotte Human Resources Development Institute in Osan-si, Gyeonggi Province.
This training included hands-on experiences such as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), safety belt and opening fall exercises, and virtual reality (VR) simulations of fall, drop, and electric shock accidents. The program was designed to allow participants to directly experience disaster situations that may occur at actual construction sites.
CEO Oh emphasized, "All employees at headquarters and in the field should internalize safety management standards and principles, approaching safety as if they are protecting their own families."

On the same day, CEO Oh also personally conducted safety and health leadership training for about 100 site managers nationwide. He called for the achievement of the "Zero Serious Accidents" goal, emphasizing field-based execution, strengthening members' safety awareness and capabilities, and improving efficiency through work innovation.
On the previous day, February 26, he visited the "Yeongdong-daero Underground Space Complex Development Section 4" site in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where he conducted a safety and health management meeting and an on-site safety inspection. In January of this year, he also visited the "Changgyeonggung Lotte Castle Signature" site in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
Lotte Construction will sequentially conduct safety and health training for all head office and field employees at Safety ON from this month through June. Opened in February 2022, Safety ON is a facility covering approximately 1,160 square meters, where participants can experience 18 types of disasters that may occur at construction sites, including falls, fires, overturns, suffocation, and electric shocks. To date, over 11,700 people, including Lotte Construction employees, Lotte Group affiliates, partner companies, and external organizations, have completed training at the center.
A Lotte Construction representative stated, "Safety is a top priority that cannot be compromised," and added, "We will firmly establish the principle of 'No work without safety' as a shared philosophy among all members and foster a culture where safety management is put into practice."
