Educational Volunteer Activities for Over 1,200 Youth

Hyundai Motor Group announced on February 27 that it held the launching ceremony for the 13th class of its social contribution program, "Hyundai Jump School," which aims to foster future talent.

The ceremony, which took place over two days starting February 26 at the Mayfield Hotel in Seoul, was attended by 300 university student teachers participating as educational volunteers, Hyundai Motor Group employees serving as mentors, company officials, and representatives from partner organizations such as Seochangbeom, Chairman of the non-profit organization Jump, and Eun Chorong, CEO.

Launched in 2013, "Hyundai Jump School" is Hyundai Motor Group's flagship social contribution program. University student teachers volunteer by providing academic guidance and emotional support to underprivileged youth, while employee mentors assist the student teachers with career planning and related guidance.

This year's event included a variety of specific programs, such as lectures on youth teaching methods for the university student teachers and sessions where senior teachers shared their know-how.

Additionally, starting this year, 25 newly selected dedicated employee mentors participated in "team building" activities to build rapport with the university student teachers.

The dedicated employee mentors will be assigned to different regions where "Hyundai Jump School" operates. They will play a long-term and in-depth mentoring role for the university student teachers through in-person exchanges, such as encouraging visits to child centers where the educational volunteer work takes place and tours of Hyundai Motor Group's offices, as well as providing career planning advice.

Following the launching ceremony, the 300 university student teachers will carry out educational volunteer activities for approximately 1,200 youth at child centers and similar facilities across nine regions nationwide for a total of 10 months until December.

By extending the duration of "Hyundai Jump School" from the previous 8 months to 10 months to better align with the school academic calendar, the program is expected to enhance its effectiveness and ensure greater continuity in learning.

All university student teachers will receive a scholarship, and those selected as outstanding teachers will be granted the opportunity to participate in overseas study tours.

Meanwhile, following its launch in Korea, "Hyundai Jump School" expanded to Vietnam in 2020 and to Indonesia in 2024. Over the past 13 years, more than 3,600 university student teachers have been selected, providing learning opportunities to over 14,000 young people in educational blind spots.

A Hyundai Motor Group official stated, "'Hyundai Jump School' is a talent development program where all participants-including youth, university students, and employee mentors-learn and grow together," and added, "We will continue our efforts to nurture healthy future talent."
