The Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province held the '2026 School Meal Basic Direction Briefing Session' on February 26 in the seminar room of the Park Chung-hee Presidential History Museum for over 110 nutrition teachers and dietitians from schools in the district.
This briefing session was organized to share enhanced hygiene and safety standards, as well as practical school meal management plans, and to establish a field-centered support system. In particular, with growing social interest in food safety, the focus was placed on strengthening a preventive management system.
The session covered practical topics related to all aspects of school meal operations, including: an overview of the basic direction for the 2026 academic year and key revisions; measures to strengthen hygiene and safety management to prevent food poisoning; securing the safety of school meal ingredients; and strategies to reinforce administrative support focused on field assistance.
Min Byeongdo, Superintendent of the Gumi Office of Education, stated, "I hope that this training and today’s briefing session will serve as a meaningful opportunity to share the direction of school meal operations and exchange opinions from the field," adding, "The Office of Education will also listen more closely to voices from the field and actively support efforts to enhance the safety and quality of school meals."
